No. BASIO handles analysis, structuring and preparing the concept basis. Design, creative direction and stance remain entirely with you. AI outputs are working foundations, not a substitute for professional judgment by architects.

BASIO extracts requirements (including room program, areas, deadlines and formal specifications), builds an analysis from them, derives concept approaches, and prepares everything as an exportable report.

A project is consumed when it's created. The project includes everything: site, land registry, site-plan positioning, maximum building volume, 3D environment and the analysis of the brief (requirements, legal sources, constraints) — including updates within a reasonable scope, as long as your subscription or pass is active.

The brief can be replaced within 7 days of creating the project, for example if the wrong file was uploaded. A later replacement counts as a new project.

No. Deleted projects are not credited back.

Yes. Requirements list, analysis report, concept basis and a team briefing can be exported as PDF — individually or bundled.

An assistant that knows your project: you ask about the contents of the competition documents in a dialog and get answers with a source reference to the relevant file. The chat history is stored per user and project — each person only sees their own history and can delete it at any time.

BASIO uses language models from Anthropic, OpenAI and Google for analysis, text and document processing. AI-generated visualizations are created with Google Gemini models and are labeled as AI-generated accordingly. Details are available in our privacy policy.

Yes. From 3D screenshots, concept visualizations are created in various styles (realistic, atmospheric, concept sketch, bird's-eye view, interior). Visualizations consume credits.

You connect your Microsoft account once in the settings. After that, deadlines, appointments and tasks can be synced to Outlook or Teams with one click.

Solo €149, Studio €249 and Office €449 per month (plus VAT). With an annual commitment it's cheaper: €97, €162 or €292 per month respectively. You'll find all the details in the plan comparison.

Solo for individual architects (1 user, 1 project/month), Studio for small teams (up to 5 users, 3 projects/month) and Office for larger firms (up to 10 users, 5 projects/month, priority support).

Credits are used for concept visualizations: 100 in Solo, 150 in Studio and 250 in Office per month. The monthly allowance renews each period. Additional credits are available as an add-on (100 credits for €19) — add-ons don't expire, they stay with your account and can be used with any active subscription or pass.

Through the form on basio.at you'll receive a personal link to the free demo access by email. It opens a read-only view of a fully completed example project — the whole app with every step to look at, with limited chat. Your own projects, uploads, analyses and downloads aren't possible in the demo access; that's available with a subscription or pass.

The Partner Pass is our entry point into BASIO: 12 weeks of full platform access for a team of up to 3 users, including 3 projects, 10 concepts and 150 visualization credits, plus thorough onboarding and premium support. It costs a one-time €199 with no subscription commitment. The Partner Pass isn't a freely bookable product — confirmed waitlist contacts receive a personal, single-use access code by email. Feedback on BASIO is always welcome, but entirely optional.

Monthly subscriptions have a minimum term of one month (14 days' notice before the end of the period), annual subscriptions twelve months (30 days' notice before the end of the period).

Payment runs securely through Stripe and is due when the contract is concluded and at the start of each renewal period. Payment details are stored directly with Stripe, not with us.

If a payment fails, you have 7 days of access to view and download, after which access is locked until payment succeeds. Once payment succeeds, you immediately regain full access. This applies to the whole team.

Your data remains your property. It is processed solely to provide the service, and transmission is encrypted. No AI training takes place with your data without your consent.

After a subscription or pass ends, you still have 7 days of access to view and download your projects, after which access is locked. Your data remains stored for 12 months — with a new subscription or pass during this time you immediately regain full access; after that it is deleted. Invoice data is subject to statutory retention requirements.

Yes. Depending on the plan, up to 10 people work on the same basis — with shared project storage, task lists and team briefings. The project allowance is shared across the whole team: projects belong to the firm, and all team members have access.
